Scandal: UNIOSUN Lecturer in a sex video

Dr. Wale Ojoniyi, a lecturer at the Department of Languages and Linguistics of the Osun State University, Ikire Campus, is currently in a big mess has he was casted in a sex video with a 400 level English student of the institution, Mercy Ikwue.

According to a News source, the 30mins video, was shot in a hotel room with a laptop.

People claimed the student was raped, but the sex part was not include in the video.

On her return to the university after the one academic session rustication, the petition claimed the lecturer mounted pressure on the student for an amorous affair but the lady resisted him.
Some students of the university claimed that Ojoniyi was instrumental to the suspension of the female student, after she was allegedly caught for examination malpractices.

It was later said that some person's advice Mercy to set a trap for Ojoniyi. So then Mercy agreed for Ojoniyi and they proceed for a hotel room.

In the video, which was also made available to our correspondent, the female student set up a laptop directly opposite the bed and pretended to be watching the ‘Things Fall Apart’ film on it but she was recording the sexual activity.
Although there was no act of sexual intercourse captured in the video, the man in the video was seen stark naked and caressing the student occasionally.
In the video, Ikwue was seen throwing her blue top on the bed from an angle she knew the camera could not cover.
She also ensured that the camera lense did not capture her when she removed her trousers.
She wore her top throughout the 34-minute duration of the show and used the bedsheet as a wrapper.
The man came to the bed naked oblivious of the trap set for him and dangled his manhood throughout the show.
The audio quality of the video clip was poor but some of the conversations can still be heard.
The female student said at one point, “Give me my transport. I am not asking for any other money, just give me my transport fare.
“Why is your thing (private part) dropping like this, haven’t you done it in recent time.
“Before I went on suspension, why didn’t you plead on my behalf? You knew about it joo .”
Ojoniyi when asked by our correspondent if he was aware of the video said he had heard of it.
He said, “I also heard of the video. It is being investigated.”
Asked if he believed that the video was a handiwork of those who might want to bring him down, he said, “ People can do anything, but I cannot be brought down.”

How Rebecca Louise Law turns decaying flowers into beautiful art

British artist Rebecca Louise Law has no qualms staring death in the face -- in fact, she makes it central to her work. Known for vast installations of hanging cut flowers, Law has found admirers from gallery curators to fashion houses drawn to her decaying compositions. She's hung her work at the Royal Academy in London and turned the Chelsea Flower show on its head with an upside down meadow. From Hermès boutiques to churches, there are few spaces Law's green fingers cannot reach.

The limitations of paint

The daughter of a gardener, Law is finding a different outlet for her love of nature. A classically trained artist, she started off painting flowers, abstract works inspired by the bold colors of Kandinsky and Rothko. But it wasn't enough, says Law.

"I felt frustrated by how two-dimensional the work looked," she recalls. "I desperately wanted to reflect nature in three dimensions." She turned to flowers as a medium in 2003, describing them as "my paint."

"The complexity of flowers as a material fascinated me," Law says. "I think because they are ephemeral and a challenge, flowers have kept me on my toes. They're really difficult to work with." In the years since, Law has developed her own techniques for preserving her works, even consulting with experts at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
"Coming from painting and understanding oil and canvas, the way you're taught is for a work to last as long as possible," she explains. "I think I've tried really hard to create that with flowers."

Bound with copper wire, the flowers gradually decompose, shrink and bleach. Once dried, they're held together by their natural oils. "They'll go through a bit of a dodgy stage," Law admits, "in that in-between stage between fresh and dry. The smell is not particularly great for maybe 48 hours, but then they come into their own, and [the work] becomes a different sculpture." Some installations are permanent, such as 150,000 flower work "The Canopy" (2016) at the Eastland Shopping Centre in Melbourne, Australia. Others are dismantled, with some flowers encased in glass and kept by patrons.
Those that aren't kept are returned to Law for use in other works (she also mixes dried elements into her installations), and form part of her burgeoning archive. "I'm quite strict now," she says. "Nothing is thrown away."

The beauty of decay

Entering its third week on display, "The Beauty of Decay" at the Chandran Gallery in San Francisco marks Law's first solo gallery exhibition in the United States. Featuring 8,000 flowers, the piece has "a slight hippie vibe" says Law, utilizing the classic daisy shapes of gerberas. "I wanted it to reflect what I feel like when I come to California: laid back but fun."

Not just ISIS: Terror groups worldwide struggles for power

As ISIS becomes the world most dangerous set of humans, other terror also in the world, also trys to get more tougher.
These are some snapshots of some of the most significant groups and how they differ from ISIS:

   Al-Shabaab What the name means:
Al-Shabaab means "The Youth" in Arabic. It's also known by several other names, including the Mujahideen Youth Movement, the Mujahidin Al-Shabaab Movement and the Mujahidin Youth Movement.

  What they want:
Al-Shabaab wants to turn Somalia into an Islamist state, complete with a strict form of Sharia -- or Islamic law, according to the Council on Foreign Relations. They've even recruited some Americans, including from the Somali-American community in Minnesota. How big of a threat is Al-Shabaab to the United States?
  Who they've recently attacked:
In late July, Al-Shabaab suicide bombers killed at least 12 people near Mogadishu's international airport. An Al-Shabaab spokesman said the group was targeting the peacekeeping mission UNISOM (United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia).
While many of Al-Shabaab's attacks are inside Somalia, two of its most gruesome attacks took place in Kenya.
Last year, Al-Shabaab gunmen killed nearly 150 people at Kenya's Garissa University College.           And a four-day long bloodbath at Nairobi's Westgate Mall left at least 67 people dead in 2013.
Al-Shabaab said it had sent the gunmen to the upscale mall in retaliation for Kenya's involvement in an African Union battle against them. Kenya has also been a key U.S. partner in battling Islamist terrorism.

   How they're different from ISIS:
Al-Shabaab is al Qaeda's proxy in Somalia. So how does al Qaeda differ from ISIS? ISIS is primarily focused on solidifying an Islamic state over swathes of Iraq and Syria. It might inspire "lone wolves" in the United States and Europe, "but it is not directing its resources to attack in these areas," Daniel L. Byman of the Brookings Institution said. "Al Qaeda is weaker and less dynamic than the Islamic State, but the former remains more focused on attacking the United States and its Western allies."

Photos: Twitter trailer jams Minister of Youth and Sport

Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung referred to Nigeria or is it Atlanta?... as the United States of Nigeria while reacting to the Nigerian footballers who were stranded in Atlanta. Many Nigerians went on his page to call him out and his team immediately locked his page. Nigerians are now using the hashtag #UnitedStatesofNigeria to troll him.
